Journal Entry 25 | Fresno, CA | Jessica

A month or so ago @ericaunique_photography and I were discussing a collaboration as she was looking to improve her skills behind the camera and I just needed to photograph in front of the camera. Long story short, Erica and I have known each other for a few years now as I used to hang out with her husband and a bunch of mutual friends. Okay, back to the story. So, Erica introduced me to her good friend @jessiiicaanaya via Instagram. The thing was Jessica and we all communicated back and forth and finally set up a day and time of when to have the photo session. Everything was set and June 7th, 2016 was finally here, the day of the photo session. Erica and I would be the photographers and Jessica would be our model. Everything went according to plan except, unfortunately, work would get in the way of Erica joining Jessica and I. I wish she didn't have to miss it because she made all this possible. Huge shoutout to Erica!

I made by way to Fresno to meet up Jessica for the first time and introduce myself to her. After introducing myself to her, it felt like I had known her for awhile. First impressions are crucial and I'm glad that we kicked things off in a welcoming way, if that makes sense ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, for someone who has not modeled in almost a year, I think Jessica did a good job and making a comeback during this photo session. She works as barber, has her body covered in some amazing artwork in which some of the stories behind her tattoos are significantly more meaningful than others, and has been interested in modeling since her teenage years. Speaking of which, her photographs have been featured in magazine such as @pinupalternative and @inkedmag just to name a few. Overall, a cool cat from the streets of Fresno and one of the most friendliest and outgoing person I have met!
